The Monbulk veterans met Gembrook before a huge crowd at Monbulk for the 2026 Grand Final. Although the Brookers snared a quick goal, it was the Hawks who had the best of the opening term, registering four goals and holding a 12 point lead at the first change. Gembrook then began to gain control, with their ability to limit Monbulk’s forward entries and hurt them on the rebound beginning to tell on the scoreboard. The Hawks battled hard for the remainder of the match but unfortunately came up short on the day.
